Welcome to Thames View Bridge School
We believe that each pupil, regardless of ability, has a right to a rich and varied educational experience with the framework of a broad based curriculum. All pupils are valued for what they bring into the school and they are entitled to take part in all that the school offers, in the most appropriate ways possible given the resources available. At Thames View Bridge School we believe that all of our pupils, regardless of gender, ethnicity, ability, disability or sexuality are entitled to a high quality education that will maximise their life chances. We understand that all pupils at Thames View Bridge School have had significant difficulties coping with the mainstream school setting. Our overall aim is to make sure that our pupils are ready to learn and make progress, respectful of others and safe. All pupils are entitled to an education that enables them to:
-
achieve their best
-
become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and
-
make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training

BOROUGH VISIT AND OUR SECOND ACADEMIC REVIEW DAY
Dear Parents / Carers
We hope you are all well. Thank you for encouraging your children to attend regularly – our attendance has been very good across the school and this was commented on in a recent Local Authority visit. The inspector also said:
“From work seen on the visit, pupils are mostly making good progress in their learning as well as in their personal development. There is some excellent teaching characterised by collaborative learning between staff and pupils.”
and
“(the school ) has made very good progress since its starting point in September 2018.”
We are now running a rewards system for attendance and effort in lessons. Pupils who receive the most reward points will get to choose from a variety of exciting reward trips at the end of term.
Please note that we will be holding our second academic review day on Thursday 20th December (the last day of term). Your child’s tutor will contact you to arrange an appointment time. On this day you must come in with your son or daughter at the appointment time only. The school is not open for normal lessons. School transport will not be collecting pupils on that day.
I look forward to seeing you then.
Thank you
